Stromberg Voisinet “Black and White ca. 1925
This higher end Stromberg Voisinet with its involved binding work and elegant, dainty little V neck is just stunning to me. Killer Spruce top and gorgeous Birdseye Maple back with an aggressive, light X bracing give this guitar a warm growl with the “Retro” nickel wound strings I think pair well with the old timey aesthetics. A more common set of Phosphor Bronze’s would bring some lush “wetness” to the mix if desired.
Either way, this guitar is sure to inspire covetousness in anyone with a tasteful eye and ear.
