Pearly Boy - Supertone Tree of Life ca. 1930
This guitar has seen some action and love in it’s life long before I came around. The guitar had been restored and refinished in Shellac sometime long ago. Now with the Overhaul it’s been fully gone through and X’d meaning this might easily be the cheapest entry into an X braced Brazilian rosewood AND an old school Shellac varnish.
Brazilian’s no joke, it’s the real deal producing here a note with an incredibly fast, chimey response but also a deep, thick warmth even in the chime. This one is hard to let go of and anyone who plays it will understand why.
Super comfortable soft V neck, plays like a dream
Strung with 12’s
