This is going to be hard to say bye to🥲. I've spent the last week with his one and I can't put it down. This Kay's 25 3/4 inch scale length over a medium sized box with size where it counts made this the perfect candidate for a modern sized Overhaul masterpiece and it didn't disappoint one bit.
The notes begin with soft chiming cut that quickly blossom to a sonorous, complex ring filled with harmonics and overtones in just the right places, still firm in the fundamental but with the magic going on through out the whole range. Perfection to me - 6 string chords where every note is clear as a bell with the faint hum of the body fully ringing sympathetically without clutter.
This guitar will make you refine your picking technique - with such a responsive, active box you hear everything and if you listen to it, it will tell you how it wants picked and it's deadly correct in it's assertion. Less effort, more intentional attack, the most music a steel string can sing.
With a nut width of 1 11/16ths, the Overhaul 14 ft radius to the board and fresh Jescar frets standing tall this guitar plays itself.
Fully Overhauled and ready for anything.
